Tsunamis Devastation in Sri Lanka

Tidal waves resulted from Tsunamis originated from the mid seas off Sumathra Islands have caused deaths and destruction over 10 countries in the Asian Region. Out of the total death toll of 23,000, half of the toll is reported from Sri Lanka. Morethan 12,000 people have been died and one million people are displaced / homeless. Sri Lanka being the highest hit country, declared State of Emergency and called for aid from International community.

Dedicated 24 hours information lines have been set-up by Sri Lanka Government. Information regarding tourists could be obtained on the hot line below

Ich denke das berührt alle. Ich gehe immer wieder an den Computer um die neuesten Nachrichten zu lesen. Wir haben im Betrieb gesammelt und gemeinsam gespendet.

Diese Katastrophe hat auch mich tief erschüttert.
Ich habe als (Tischler-)Umschüler zwar nur noch 52,63 Euro auf dem Konto, jedoch werde ich morgen 50 Euro spenden.
Dieses Jahr werde ich auch zu Silvester nich nach draussen gehen,denn das Geld für jede einzelne Rakete die gekauft wurde , hätte sinnvoller eingesetzt werden können (wie ich meine Nachbarschaft kenne,hat sie wieder genug gekauft)

Wir haben Geld gesammelt und geben es einem Bekannten (Hotelbesitzer und
Spezialist für Kälte-/Klimatechnik für Flughäfen) mit. In seinem Hotel wird
das für dieses Jahre geplante Geld für das Feuerwerk einbehalten und auch seine
Gäste um Spenden geben. Ab Montag hat er beruflich dann in Bankok zu tun. Dort
wird das Geld direkt an ein Projekt vorort gehen. So erreicht es die, die es
brauchen ohne umschweife und ohne Gefahr zu laufen in irgendwelchen
Verwaltungskanälen zu versickern.
